The left-sided defender has penned a two-year deal with the club.
Beckwith, who has made nearly 100 National League appearances at the age of just 22, says he is delighted to join.
“I’m over the moon to get it done,” said Beckwith.
“I spoke to the gaffer about a week ago and as soon as I spoke to him, it felt like the right move for me.
“He told me where he sees me in the team. He’s been watching me for a while and was telling me about the new Board. It’s an exciting project to join.”
Head Coach Jimmy McNulty commented: “I’m delighted that Sam has agreed to join us for the next chapter in his career.
“Sam is a player we identified as being able to help our team immediately, after what was a very impressive season for him last year in the National League, whilst also having the potential to progress to the EFL.
“His signature was sought after by clubs higher up the pyramid than ourselves and within the division. So his decision to commit the next stage of his career to ourselves is really pleasing and we are delighted to welcome him to our group.”

Beckwith joined Luton Town at the age of just seven, progressing through their Academy to sign professional terms at Kenilworth Road.
He won the Hatters’ Young Player of the Season award in 2020, a year in which he saw a loan spell at Biggleswade Town cut short due to COVID-19.
After featuring in several pre-season friendlies for Luton, he made his senior debut in 2021 during an EFL Cup first round tie.
Shortly afterwards, he was loaned out to Maidenhead United for the 2021/22 season, who he joined permanently at the end of the campaign.
Last season, he made 43 league appearances, scoring four times and creating a further eight. He was named in the Vanarama National League Team of the Season, as well as being named the League’s Player of the Month for April.
Welcome, Sam!
