Divorced Dad life as a FBI SA, Is it Possible Without Support?
Divorced Dad life as a FBI SA, Is it Possible Without Support?
Question

Long story short I dont want to get into the mess, just want to know if it’s still possible or should I give up and pass on the opportunity.

I’m towards the backend of the BI, should be hearing something sooner or later.

Well recently life has shifted a whole 180, now Im in the process of a divorce.

I got 2 kids and I guess what I’m asking is it even possible anymore or will I have to turn it down.

I won’t have a support system it would just be me and the kid. I know hours can be a bit all over and being on call. This seemed great as a family but now alone not so much.

The 6 months in training would be fine. I’d get em after.

Kid is my priority and I just want to know if anyone ever been thru this could share their side? I’d imagine it’s impossible now without a support system.

Hate to give this up but being there and a father is extremely important to me. If there’s a possibility what’s y’all’s recommendations?

Whatever yall can tell me I’d appreciate, thanks in advance

Hi everybody! I (33yo female) am more of a lurker than a poster and honestly I’m nervous about making this post but I wanted to get on here finally and share.

First, I want to thank those of you who share tips on improving run times. I followed a few that were posted and used the Runna app to work on my running. I’m not a runner by any means and had a baby a year ago. When I first applied to the September announcement, I tested myself and my numbers weren’t so great. I got 15 push ups, 20 sit ups and a horrendous run time of 24 mins. You don’t have to tell me how bad that is. I’m fully aware and was very disappointed in myself. But I didn’t give up on myself, trained like crazy, and even joined a run club.

Well today I’m happy to announce I PASSED!! I got 30 push ups, 36 sit ups, and a run time of 16:50. I know my run time isn’t something to brag about and it’s still on the slower side but I’m proud of myself for my improvement. I’m going to continue training to get better. My new goals are 40/45/15:30.

For those who were like me and aren’t starting in the best physical shape, keep training! You got this!
