Qualifications to Register To Vote:
In order to register to vote in Florida, you must:

  • Be a citizen of the United States of America;
  • Be a Florida resident;
  • Be 18 years old (you may pre-register to vote if you are 16 years old, but you cannot vote until you are 18 years old).
  • Not be adjudicated mentally incapacitated with respect to voting in Florida or any other state;
  • Not have been convicted of a felony without your civil rights having been restored;
  • Provide your current and valid Florida driver’s license number or Florida identification card number. You must provide the last four digits of your Social Security Number if you do not have a Florida driver’s license number or a Florida identification card number. If you do not have any of these items, you must mark the box indicated on the Florida Voter Registration Application as “NONE.”

If you haven’t already done so, you can request a ballot by mail.

Or, if you have submitted a request previously, you can check the status of your mail ballot request.

Voting at the polls, Early Voting or Election Day

When voting at the polls, you will need to bring an approved photo ID (Approved Forms of Picture Identification / Formas aprobadas de identificación con fotografía).

You can vote early at any available early voting site.

On election day, you must vote in your assigned precinct.

MEET THE SUPERVISOR

Picture of Tommy Doyle, current Supervisor of Elections
Tommy Doyle is a lifelong resident of Lee County who has been successfully managing his family business for over 30 years. The reason for the business’s success is their focus on excellent customer service, scrutinizing every dollar and embracing innovation. Tommy shares a deep-rooted passion for Lee County’s history and traditions, as well as a fundamental belief in our representative form of government.

After graduating from Bishop Verot High School, Tommy enlisted in the United States Air Force and spent four years in Tampa where he worked for Joint Command at MacDill Airforce Base and trained as an Airborne Radio Operator. After his service, Tommy earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of West Florida.

In 1979, he returned to Fort Myers to work for his family’s business, Flint and Doyle. Tommy and his business partner grew Flint and Doyle to one of the largest structural moving companies in Florida. As a leader in consulting, their expertise has taken them around the globe as one of the most respected companies in the structural moving business. Tommy has been an active member of the International Association of Structural Movers for 20 years, serving on the Board of Directors for 12 years.

Tommy and his wife, Donna, have been married since 1987 and have three children, Ryan, Taylor and Lauren.
