Yle's Management Group has decided on the conditions that must be met for the Finnish public service media to participate in Eurovision in the coming years. EBU member organizations are meeting today in Geneva to discuss the competition.

The winner of Finland’s Contest for New Music UMK this year is Linda Lampenius x Pete Parkkonen with their song Liekinheitin. The winner was chosen by the votes of the Finnish people (75%) and points from the international jury (25%). Linda Lampenius x Pete Parkkonen scored 570 points.
