When Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche and his sons came to Nepal, they made Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling monastery their main seat. Over the years, other monasteries, temples and retreat centers have appeared and prospered under Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche’s guidance.
Monlam is a prayer service offered by the monks and nuns of the Shedrub Mandala. You can request Buddhist prayers and pujas for yourself or others, and our monks and nuns will perform them in your name.

Rangjung Yeshe Institute (RYI) offers undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in Buddhist Studies through Kathmandu University. Other related programs are also offered on-campus and online. Founded by Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche as an institution of higher learning for those wishing to deepen their understanding of Buddhist philosophy and practice, RYI can be regarded as the Buddhist equivalent of a divinity school or seminary where spiritual practice is an integral part of the daily experience.

Inspired by the vision, commitment and magnificent achievements of past Buddhist translators, the Dharmachakra Translation Committee is dedicated to making classical Buddhist literature available to modern readers in their native languages.
Based on the oral teachings of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche and his spiritual sons, this line of books, primarily translated by Erik Pema Kunsang, is dedicated to presenting high quality translations of authentic Buddhist literature. Rangjung Yeshe Publications also provides commentaries by contemporary Buddhist masters of the Tibetan tradition, especially in the realms of Mahamudra and Dzogchen.
Rangjung Yeshe Institute offers an intensive twelve-month-long translator training program designed to prepare students to serve as oral interpreters from Tibetan to English for basic Buddhist teachings. Graduates of the program currently work in many Dharma communities all around the world, including Dharmachakra Translation Committee and 84000.

In 2004, Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche founded Shenpen as a non-profit social work organization. The organization’s vision is to provide the poor and disadvantaged people of Nepal, particularly the very young, the very old, and the displaced, with quality healthcare, a sound education, financial security, and the conditions to meet their full human and spiritual potential.
