The Snooker Shoot Out is back. A competition known for its dramatic play and producing new winners from the world of snooker will surely not disappoint. Since it's inception in 2011, no player ranked inside the world’s top 16 has ever won the tournament. Last year, Hossein Vafaei beat Mark Williams in the final and subsequently became the first player from Iran to win a ranking title.

Considered the most unpredictable event of the season, the Snooker Shoot Out returns with players competing against the clock for the highest of stakes.
Historically, the tournament's winner has been unpredictable, with players like Hossein Vafaei, the defending champion, Michael Holt, Michael Georgiou and Thepchaiya Un-Nooh all winning their first title at the Shoot Out.
Alongside some new faces, big names like Mark Allen and Mark Williams are set to compete for the £50,000 grand prize.

When is the 2023 Snooker Shoot Out? And where?

The 2023 Shoot Out will take place at the Morningside Arena in Leicester from Wednesday, January 25th to Saturday, January 28th.
Session times each day will be at 1pm and 7pm.

What is the format at the 2023 Snooker Shoot Out?

All matches at the Shoot Out, up to and including the Final, will be one frame and a maximum of 10 minutes in duration with an individual shot clock; the first 5 minutes at 15 seconds per shot, the remaining 5 minutes at 10 seconds per shot.
The first round matches will take place over the first two days, the 25th and the 26th.
The second round matches are to take place on the 27th.
The third round, fourth round, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final will all be held on the 28th.
