This new migrant camp on Tenerife recently began operating. It can reportedly house up to 2,000 people, which makes it the biggest migrant camp on the Canaries. The Spanish islands have seen a surge in arrivals since last year. Migrant reception centers have been overwhelmed for months; many migrants were temporarily housed in hotels and a makeshift camp at a port.
