Welcome to Queen Mary

Joining Queen Mary

Welcome to University! We're delighted you've joined us as a Queen Mary student.

The new academic year is now underway, and we’ve prepared an innovative and inclusive blended educational offering, featuring world-class online provision supplemented by face-to-face campus-based educational activities for those who are able to travel to our campuses. For specific information about face-to-face activities on your programme, look out for communications from your school or institute.

The safety and wellbeing of our community is our top priority. We have worked hard to reconfigure our spaces and adapt our on campus activities to be Covid-secure, following the latest Government advice. Find out what you need to do to keep yourself and others safe by checking the Queen Mary Covid Code and our coronavirus guidence pages for students, which are updated regularly.

2020 has been a challenging year for us all, and now more than ever it's so important to take time to look after your mental and physucal wellbeing. Queen Mary provides a range of services to support your emotional wellbeing and help you stay safe and well.

The Students' Union

Queen Mary Students' Union (SU) is a student-led democratic membership organsiation that is the voice of all Queen Mary students. It's led by students across Queen Mary and ensures that the University and wider community are listening to what students want, and works to improve students' experience.

The SU runs a wide range of activities, student groups and societies, from volunteering and fundraising to sport and student medis production.

The SU's social spaces are a great place to catch up with housemates over a drink or meal, and as a registered charity every penny of profit is used to fund student activities, services and campaigns. Find out more about getting involved in the Students' Union's clubs and societies, volunteering and sport.

This video was recorded pre-Covid and not all of the facilities are available at the moment.

If you are able to join us on campus in September, we will ensure that our premises and activities follow government guidance and that we are Covid-19 secure. We are re-configuring our campuses, including our lecture theatres and other learning spaces, our libraries, and our study and social spaces, to ensure that we can all stay safe.

If you’re able to travel later on in the semester, then we’ll make sure your transition to campus life is stress-free and enjoyable. We provide updated and comprehensive information about offers, exams, exam results, enrolment, learning and support, fees and funding, and visas on our dedicated applicant FAQs.
