The risk of a confrontation between China and Taiwan is growing. Domestic politics in China, political trends in Taiwan, and changing U.S. policy toward Taiwan are increasing the risk of a cross-strait crisis in the coming months. Careful U.S. diplomacy is needed to reduce the risk of a crisis or to mitigate the consequences should one emerge.As part of the Center for Preventive Action’s Flashpoint Roundtable Meeting Series, please join us to discuss the risk of a crisis across the Taiwan Strait and what U.S. policymakers can do to prevent it.
