Overview
The NBER Disability Research Center (DRC) is one of two partners in the Disability Research Consortium, funded through a five-year cooperative agreement with the Social Security Administration.
The goal of the Center is to inform discussions on disability policy reform by providing a more comprehensive understanding of the health and economic implications of disability and disability policy.
NBER’s DRC will conduct research on a wide array of topics related to Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) programs, as well as other disability policies, with a focus on:
- Demography and Health
- Disability and Work
- Program Interactions and Administrative Issues
