I would like to ask if the following two problems (which were unsolved in version 8.2) will be attacked in version 9.0:
a) The detection and full operation of Realtek RTL8187B WiFi card
b) The incorporation (?) into the kernel of the ATi Radeon HD (mobility) 3200 graphics card driver
Hi. I’m fairly new to PC-BSD. I’d like to know why the option to install source and ports during installation is available in 9.0 and not in 9.1 considering that source and ports are needed for complilation of drivers for broadcom wireless devices. Also how do I mount DVD in mnt and not to install fom PC-BSD DVD?

The docs are fantastic. 10.1.1 is great and I use it as my main OS, however I still, after great lengths, have not been able to get my HP deskjet 2680 to work at all. It’s US and therefore has an additional requirement (it balks with hpjis). Any help appreciated or even a decent HCL for PCBSD (it works with vanilla FreeBSD). Thanks and great job, Kris and Team!
Good Evening!
I´m new in this fantastic world of BSD and i have installed versions 9.x and 10.x in my Lenovo G480 notebook and noticed that some functions as following doesn´t work properly:
•Touchpad cannot execute gestures, but only slide the cursor in the screen and click and double click. Their buttons works fine.
•WebCam cannot take pictures or record videos.
•Network interface is not even recognized.
•Fn Keys and its combinations do not work.
As i remember these situations has no dependencies to any desktop environment. it is a general problem.
Hi
Look like I am not the only one new in BSD
Lol
I purchase SuperMicro 933T – 2x AMD Opteron 250 2.6Hz, 16GB, RAID, 15 Bay SATA Storage NAS
I try to install from an USB key
but it says that it cannot support view or graphic. Do you have any command i can use to change the screen layout? or do you think it will work with PC-BSD
