About

Hi, I am Rob Echlin, a writer and software developer in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

You may notice my banners change fairly often, hopefully weekly. This is a new project – marrying software buzzwords with appropriate imagery, for a bit of fun!

I  have worked with Linux and Windows servers since 1998, and with computers since before that. I am currently providing tool support as part of an ASIC development team.

I enjoy working with the server software used by software development teams, such as Bugzilla, Subversion, Git, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Active Directory, TWiki, Apache, MS IIS, MS Server, Backup Exec, Bacula, Amanda, VMware, DNS, Samba, NFS, NIS, Cruise control, Buildbot. I have to stop now, I was reading all those IT words and TLAs out loud and I ran out of breath. :-)
