CASH Buffalo Financial Wellness Fair!
As part of Disability History Month, CASH Buffalo's Disability Committee is presenting its first "Financial Wellness Fair" at the downtown Central Library on Monday, October 25 from 10am-2pm. Resource information and speakers on tax preparation, savings programs, financial coaching, Social Security, and housing resources for Persons with Disabilities, their families and the public.
Haunted Buffalo with Mason Winfield!
"Haunted Buffalo" author and storyteller Mason Winfield will speak at the downtown Central Library on Wednesday, October 27 at 12 Noon. Free and open to the public, presented as part of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System's 2010 "The Big Read" featuring the works of Edgar Allan Poe.
Babel Lecture Series to Begin!
BABEL, the largest literary lecture series of its kind, begins at Kleinhans Music Hall on Tuesday, October 19. The featured speaker is Nobel Prize winner V.S. Naipaul, author of "A Bend in the River."

"PastForward Discussion Series: Arts for the People"
Join us at the downtown Central Library on Thursday, October 21, 6-9 pm, for a community discussion on public funding for the arts in WNY. During the Great Depression in the1930s, Federal funding put artists to work, and created the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Kleinhans Music Hall, civic artworks, and other valuable legacies that remain around us today.
