Saturday Scholars Series: "Words and Music, Music and Words: The Songs of Franz Schubert"

November 17: 11:00am

Annenberg Auditorium, Snite Museum of Art. Susan Youens, professor of music, will discuss two pieces as examples of what music can do to and for poetry. Performance of two songs will follow.

Fall concert: Notre Dame Concert Bands

November 18: 3:00pm

Leighton Concert Hall, DeBartolo Performing Arts Center. ND Symphonic Winds and Symphonic Band perform Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, Holst's Second Suite in F, and other traditional band classics. Free but ticketed, call 574-631-2800.
