CoH History - Operation Market Garden[ Comment ] 14:07 PST | Pyros | Print News | Category: Site FeaturesWe've updated our Company of Heroes History feature with a look at Operation Market Garden. Although Market Garden is featured in various World War II games, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts is one of the few games that actually lets you take on the campaign as the Germans. If you've played the game, you may be wondering about the history between the campaign. If so, check out there article. Here is a brief snippet from the piece:
Market was designed as the largest airborne operation that had ever been attempted, delivering over 34000 men via a combination of gliders and parachutes, and dropping over 1500 vehicles, 260 artillery pieces, and 3300 tons of ammunition and supplies onto the battlefield.
Allied airborn troops parachute down into the Netherlands
Patch 2.102 Changes In roughly a week! (Buggo) - The advanced change log for the upcoming patch. Do you like what you see, or do you feel something else could be changed? Leave your comments/suggestions in the thread!
STATS is not everything..SOMETIMES it means NOTHING - Do you put a lot of thought into an opponents rank when you play via Relic Online? This thread discusses ranks, and the factor of luck in Company of Heroes.
Hetzers Are Underpowered - A discussion about whether or not the Hetzer tank is underpowered. The Hetzer is one of my most commonly used units when I play as the Panzer Elite, so I'm interested in everyone's opinions in this matter!
Brits slaughtered by armor -A discussion thread about how to handle the Brits, from early game strategies and counter to late game thoughts.
There's plenty of other great discussions in our forums, so be sure to stop by and register!
The changelist is here at the bottom. You will notice a change that says: - Combat system updates: System reverted to COH infantry combat. What this means is that the infantry will now target other infantry like they did in vanilla CoH. In Opposing Fronts (and the big patch for CoH), the infantry have a new targetting system where they evenly distribute damage throughout the squad, causing lots of instances with full squads at, say, 1/4 hitpoints.
Thanks Relic for the awesome patch, and to Buggo for giving us this early info. Hit "read more" to see the patch notes.

Designed with plenty of cover and strategic locations, this map has quite a few interesting locations, including a footbridge that crosses over a uncrossable valley. If you want to win this map, you'll have to use a solid combination of infantry and the armor required to clear some of the map's obstacles (such as walls or hedges). Be sure to check it out!
THQ's Opposing Fronts video walkthrough[ Comment ] 10:48 PST | Pyros | Print News | Category: Game Media - Game MediaTHQ UK has published this video walkthrough for all of those who haven't had a chance to play Opposing Fronts yet. This video is actually just a smoother version of a developer walkthrough that IGN posted late last month, but it is definitely worth taking a look at if you haven't played Opposing Fronts, as it showcases many of the new features, and includes some interesting developer commentary.

Few expansion packs come loaded with as many new features as Relic has seen fit to put in - two entirely new sides, an equal number of expansive campaigns, and enough potential multiplayer action to keep any player occupied for months.
I think the addition of the new sides keep players occupied for more than just months :)
The centerpiece of Opposing Forces are the two new fighting squads joining the battle for Europe, the defensive British 2nd Army and the stick-and-move Panzer Elite. The game offers two single-player campaigns, one for each army.
Once they've rigorously tested the multiplayer aspect, they'll be publishing their full review. So keep watching for that as well!
Four results to choose from (well, five if you haven't played any of them), so give each one a play and vote to your right. And try to avoid making any jokes about Best being...the best.
The results to last week's poll can be seen by hitting "Read More..." below.
If you've been playing Company of Heroes online, you may have noticed that stats aren't functioning properly. According to this post over at Relic News, Relic is aware of the issue (along with slow log-in times), and is actively working on fixing the issue. So sit tight while Relic fixes the issue!

If you're using two 8x00 series cards in SLI, you may want to hold off: one of the open issues in this release is that SLI'd 8x00 cards will perform slower than a single 8x00 card.
