Next-Gen chats it up with id Software's Todd Hollenshead, hitting on topics like id's popularity in China, Quake Zero and the type of people they are looking to hire, what id looks for in a publisher and more. Here's a little sampling on the subject of advertising.
Advertising. Quake Zero is going to have advertising. Have you talked to people, do you have ads lined up?
Hollenshead: Nope�it is going to be a test case, and a litmus test in a lot of ways. We�ll see how it works. We know how Massive works, for example. So that will be some stuff that we�re looking at.
But for us, we�re sort of an open book on it. We can do sponsored levels, we can do sponsored content, we can do streamed ads. Anything like that. We haven�t really decided there�s one thing we�re going to do. You can read the two pager with Todd Hollenshead over at Next-Gen.
