Where the Wild Things Are

Where the Wild Things Are is a 1963 children's book by Maurice Sendak.[1] The book was inspired by Sendak's childhood.[2]

The book became popular. 19 million copies of the book were sold before 2009. It was made into a short movie in 1973, and into a full length movie in 2009.[3] In 1980, an opera based on the book was made.[4]
