This Logo was originally designed by Neolux for the 2003 International Logo Contest on Wikipedia, it didn't win and only got second place, however it was later adopted as the logo for the Wikimedia Foundation.

Wikimedia Foundation 2016

This revision of the logo and its associated branding were designed by Nirzar Pangarkar, Mike Monteiro and Mule Design.[1]
