The Special Collections unit of the University of Pretoria’s Department of Library Services plays a stewardship role in the acquisition and preservation of the Department of Library Services’ rare and valuable information resources, making them accessible to students, staff and researchers, as well as safeguarding them for future generations.

The Special Collections unit is open to all staff and students of the University of Pretoria. External researchers are welcome by appointment. Please contact us for further information.

NOTICE: Special Collections will be closed until further notice, due to the refurbishment of the Africana section. Unfortunately, there will be no access to our physical collections during this time.
