Vandalism is when an editor, in bad faith, makes an unconstructive edit to a page, such as blanking or adding gibberish. Sometimes gibberish or blanking can be an accident (making it simply an unconstructive edit, not vandalism), which is why it is important to always assume good faith. Most of the time, my reverting edit summaries say possible vandalism, not vandalism, because I often can't know if it's vandalism, a test, or a mistake.
My edit wasn't vandalism. How do I get it fixed without engaging in an edit war?

Thanks for wanting to help! Reverting vandalism is a never-ending job. You can join an anti-vandalism WikiProject, or you can just revert vandalism on your own. A useful tool is the recent changes page, which is especially helpful if you use the filters to find vandalism.

For privacy reasons, I don't like to disclose my off-wiki pronouns, but on-wiki you can use they/them for me if you like.
To see a list of a user's contributions, go to their user page or user talk page. When you do that, the menu item "User contributions" will appear in the Toolbox menu on the sidebar. This link will show you all the edits that user has ever made (except deleted edits), up to 500 per page. This is useful for tracking vandalism in progress.
Edits with a "top" link are the most recent ones to their respective articles.
You have your own contributions list, which is particularly useful for tracking your conversations on talk pages. If you are logged in, you can access the list from the "Contributions" link at the top of the page.
To help keep track of your discussions on talk pages, you may wish to place the {{Discussion tracker}} template to your talk page.

Edit summaries...well. *Sigh* I know I should use them, I know! I just don't usually sit down to edit Wikipedia; I'm usually editing while I'm in the middle of something in real life, so I'm often in a rush and forget or don't have time to add an edit summary. I am trying, I swear.
