Nintendo is a video game developing company, based in Kyoto, Japan. Established in September 1889, it originally developed gamecards and toys before switching to electronic games in the 1970's. During the 1980's, the company socred major international video game successes with characters and games like Donkey Kong, Mario, Metroid and Zelda.
Nintendo developed the 1991 Super NES version of Sim City under license from Maxis.
