This is a BIG move for freight! 👀🚆📦 BNSF is investing $4 billion into a new rail hub in Barstow, California, and the goal is pretty simple: get containers out of crowded port areas and moving inland faster! What could that mean for shippers? More capacity, fewer bottlenecks, and a smoother path for freight traveling from the West Coast across the country. The facility is expected to open in late 2028, so nothing changes tomorrow… But this is definitely one to watch because investments like this can have a major impact on future routes, transit times, and shipping costs.
