Dublin-based EurAsia, a product sourcing and procurement specialist, has partnered with Tenda to launch the Nova MW3 Mesh Wi-Fi system in Ireland. Jason Zhao, general manager of Tenda UK & Republic of Ireland, said: “The Nova MW3 brings smart WiFi technology to every home user and modern smart home. Building on the Mesh WiFi technology the MW3 can handle simultaneous connections from multiple devices and even works with Alexa allowing you to control compatible devices."

Corsair to acquire Elgato Gaming
Corsair, a vendor of high-performance PC peripherals and components for gamers, enthusiasts and e-sports athletes, has reached an agreement to acquire Munich-based Elgato Gaming. Elgato’s connected home business, Elgato Eve, will continue as an independent, separate entity under the name Eve Systems. Designed in Germany and California, Elgato products are distributed by major retailers in over eighty countries around the world.

Distribution giant ALSO is buying DistriWan, a French specialist WiFi networking and security distributor headquartered near Lyon. The price has not been disclosed and the deal is expected to close in the coming weeks. Gustavo Möller-Hergt, CEO of ALSO, said: “In early 2017, we began to strategically develop our expertise and product range to capitalise on the surging growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) with the purchase of two VADs of security and network products, Smartsec in Finland and BeIP in France. Our acquisition of DistriWan is the next critical step on this path.”

Exertis has picked up UK distribution rights for EZVIZ, a leading provider of wireless cameras, action cams, sensors and surveillance equipment for the home and business. EZVIZ Wi-Fi and wire free smart home products are also compatible with major voice assistant products from Amazon and Google.
