Global health risks changing, says report
2 September 2009 -- An upcoming WHO report on global health threats will detail progress, challenges and shifting types of risks, especially in developing countries, says an article in the WHO Bulletin. Risk factors range from environmental dangers, such as exposure to indoor smoke, to high blood pressure, among 24 risks profiled.

In total, it affects about two billion people each year globally, even though better water quality and sanitation could prevent the serious blight. This new fact sheet details the scope of the health challenge, and ways to prevent and treat it.
