Built for more. More control. More power. More possibilities.

About us

Civo is the Sovereign Cloud and AI platform that frees you to build without limits. We combine the openness of public cloud with the security and control of private environments, delivering full cloud parity across every deployment. Our mission is simple: to make the cloud easier to use, faster to deploy, and fairer to pay for. For too long, legacy providers have made cloud infrastructure more complex and costly than it needs to be. Civo changes that by putting users first and designing technology that is practical, transparent, and built to perform. Our public cloud offers scalable compute for workloads of any size. You can deploy instances, Kubernetes clusters, managed databases, and load balancers in minutes through an intuitive interface with clear, predictable pricing. For organizations that require total sovereignty, Civo Private Cloud provides secure environments that operate entirely on your terms. You can run CivoStack Enterprise on your own hardware or choose FlexCore, our turnkey, ready-to-deploy appliance. Both deliver full feature parity with our public platform. Civo AI powers the next generation of innovation. With enterprise-grade infrastructure, high-performance NVIDIA GPUs, and streamlined model management, our platform enables fast, scalable, and cost-efficient AI and machine learning workloads without the "black box" complexity of legacy providers. Sovereignty, simplicity, and flexibility define everything we build. We empower organizations to innovate without barriers, ensuring control of data, infrastructure, and spend stays exactly where it belongs: with you. More control. More power. More possibilities.

What if shipping to the cloud felt less like an ordeal and more like a game you actually wanted to win? That's the idea behind Ship It, our demo of what a genuinely fast PaaS experience looks like when the platform gets out of your way. We built a full app deployment, live, in under an hour. No detours into infrastructure decisions nobody asked to make. Just build, ship, done. It's a small demo with a bigger point: the cloud doesn't have to be this hard, and most of the friction teams accept as "normal" is a choice platforms make, not a law of physics. We're going further into that idea at our next Konstruct webinar, where we ask why every Kubernetes cluster somehow ends up different from the last. Register here: https://civo.io/4fIp1vJ

Kubernetes was supposed to make shipping easier. For most teams, it's become the thing standing between them and shipping at all. In our latest demo, we show exactly how Konduit strips that complexity out of the equation, taking an app from local machine to live on the internet without a single kubectl command, YAML file, or cluster decision in sight. No provisioning rituals. No "which ingress controller" debates. Just an app, and a URL that works. If you've ever watched a deployment turn into a day-long debugging session, this is worth five minutes of your time. And if you're wondering why every cluster you've ever touched somehow looks different from the last one, that's not a coincidence, and it's exactly what we're unpacking in our next Konstruct webinar. Would your organization actually survive losing its cloud provider overnight? For most UK businesses, the honest answer is no, and the gap between what leaders want and what they can execute is widening. 73% of UK IT leaders now call data sovereignty a strategic priority, up from 61% a year ago. 66% would consider switching providers to regain control. But only 15% have actually migrated to a domestic alternative, and only one in four believes they could exit a major US provider at all. That's not indecision. It's structural lock-in: technical, contractual, and organizational dependencies that accumulate quietly until the cost of leaving becomes prohibitive. Nearly 90% of Indian businesses have been hit with cloud bills they didn't see coming. Our research with over 600 Indian tech professionals found that 84% of respondents reported unexpected billing since moving to the cloud, most often from egress fees and workloads they couldn't optimize. At the same time, 63% say it's extremely important their data stays within Indian borders, yet more than 70% of Indian enterprises are still storing sensitive data on foreign cloud servers. The gap between what businesses want and what they're actually doing is the story. As India's cloud market heads toward $58.73 billion by 2030, transparent pricing and genuine data sovereignty are becoming the deciding factor in who wins that market, not who spends the most on marketing. Despite everything (vendor lock-in, market concentration, cost barriers), 90% of UK IT leaders are calling for more proactive government support of British cloud technology. This number shouldn't be surprising. It reflects a fundamental truth: the market structure that created lock-in also creates the barrier to escape it. Organizations recognize that viable alternatives need not just to exist, but to be genuinely competitive. 72% agree that UK innovation requires domestic infrastructure. But 43% say compute costs are the barrier. The math is clear. The opportunity is there. The execution model is what's missing. What does it actually cost a bootstrapped fintech to run on a hyperscaler? For Heightss, switching to Civo cut infrastructure spend by around 70% compared to their previous AWS Lambda and Vercel setup. They're not the only ones. Six companies across systems integration, AI delivery, and fintech told us what changed when they moved: ☁️ KubeNine cut cluster creation from minutes to seconds ☁️ BeezLabs runs AI and data workloads at a fraction of hyperscaler cost, with no hidden overheads ☁️ OpsMx hosts workloads locally in India to meet data residency requirements ☁️ Airowire reduced Kubernetes infrastructure costs while stabilizing multi-region clusters ☁️ Techdome provisions clusters in minutes instead of hours Cost and sovereignty keep showing up in the same sentence, because for most Indian businesses, they're the same problem. Can your cloud provider be compelled to hand over your data by a government you don't operate under? For UK financial services firms, that's not hypothetical, it's the question sitting underneath FCA and PRA supervision. The regulators have been explicit: concentration risk, operational resilience, and exit planning are no longer boxes to tick, they're architectural requirements. A data residency agreement with a foreign-owned hyperscaler is not the same thing as sovereignty. Contractual promises get overridden by law. We've mapped exactly where UK sovereign cloud intersects with FCA and PRA expectations, covering operational resilience, third-party risk, workload isolation, and the exit plans regulators actually expect firms to test. Cloud first was gospel for a decade. The default has changed. Civo's Russ Smith breaks down the four forces that have converged to shift where organisations are choosing to run their workloads: spiralling cloud bills that are no longer defensible at scale, Broadcom's overnight detonation of VMware pricing, sovereignty becoming a boardroom procurement requirement, and AI making new hardware brutally expensive. The takeaway isn't leave the cloud. It's that the answer is no longer automatic. Right workload, right place. Want to hear more? Watch the full webinar: https://civo.io/4h6QyJc

Here's the counterintuitive finding from our latest research: 28% of UK organizations now expect to deepen their reliance on US hyperscalers, up from just 12% a year ago. This doubling doesn't mean organizations suddenly prefer concentrated dependency. It means many are recognizing they lack viable exit strategies and are making the difficult decision to optimize within their constraints rather than fight them. This is what happens when the gap between strategic intent and operational reality becomes too wide to bridge. Organizations adapt to the constraints rather than removing them. "Cloud first" had a good decade. It's over now. Four forces converged: unjustifiable cloud bills at scale, Broadcom's VMware pricing shakeup, sovereignty moving from legal afterthought to procurement requirement, and AI workloads with a cost profile nobody priced in when they signed their hyperscaler contracts. Gartner says 83% of CIOs plan to move something back to private infrastructure. Fewer than 10% are moving everything. The real story isn't abandoning cloud, it's putting the right workload in the right place. Russell Smith, our Product Director for Enterprise Private Cloud, breaks down five questions on cloud repatriation: why sovereignty by contract was never sovereignty, why private cloud doesn't mean hiring a platform team, and what the first 90 days of a migration actually look like. Read the full breakdown on cloud repatriation strategies: https://civo.io/4wzeqKf
