Salesforce offers 40+ different certifications. For someone just starting out, that can be overwhelming. The Salesforce Certified Platform Foundations cert exists for exactly that moment. It's broad by design, costs $75, requires no annual maintenance, and is built for people who want to learn the platform before committing to a specific path. Not a shortcut to a specific job, but a low-risk way to build credibility while you figure out whether admin, developer, or consultant is the right direction. If you're a career changer who's been using Salesforce in a non-technical role and want to make it official, this is a good place to start. Full breakdown on Course Report: https://lnkd.in/gkHH-d6v

What does it take to be a "Salesforce Specialist"? I've had some great conversations over the last few weeks with candidates who would brand themselves as a Salesforce specialist, but I've noticed one thing.. the reasons for recognising yourself as a specialist always seem to differ. Sometimes, people class themselves as a specialist for holding numerous certifications, and sometimes, so do those with no certs at all. Does being a 'Specialist' come down to experience, qualifications, or a healthy mix of both? For me a true specialist would have the certification and numerous examples of hands on experience putting what they've learnt into practise. That being said, I can also appreciate that getting the hands-on exposure can be quite a challenge to really put those certifications to use. What do you all think is the definition of a Salesforce Specialist, I'd be really keen to know!? #Salesforce #SalesforceSpecialist #Certifications #CertificationVsExperiance

Looking to start a Salesforce career? Make sure you're focusing your time in the right areas. Most aspiring #Salesforce professionals focus on Certifications more than anything else... but most experts agree that Certifications aren't the most important factor to landing a job. Let's drive more success by focusing more on what matters! If you have questions about how to get hands on experience before landing your first role leave a comment or send me a DM. PS - You do need the Admin Certification and honestly you should know the content on the cert at a minimum before you ever login to a live org. Employers will overlook you if you don't have the Admin Cert but they want to see Experience too.
