Finding yourself scrolling and mass‑applying to roles, hoping something sticks? You might be doomjobbing. LinkedIn Career Expert Catherine Fisher shares a better approach: be strategic about where you apply and how you position your experience. 🎥: CBS Mornings

📌 Doomjobbing : Mass applying without strategy rarely leads to meaningful outcomes. The global job market now rewards focus, adaptability and clarity of value. My approach is: ✓Target roles where my skills and impact align directly with business needs. ✓ Position experience with measurable outcomes, not only responsibilities. ✓ Build relationships and networks that open doors beyond applications. ✓ Stay agile with evolving technologies, especially AI, cloud and data. 🌍 In a world of accelerated change, standing out means being intentional. It is not applying everywhere. It should be applying where you can truly deliver. 👍 🙏

Spot on! 🎯 Mass-applying often leads to burnout rather than a job offer. Being intentional with every application makes a massive difference in the long run.

Before advising people to be “strategic” on LinkedIn, please improve the platform’s account security. Many professionals are currently unable to even access their own accounts despite having strong passwords and verified emails. Hacked accounts are being used to post spam and scams while real users struggle to get support and recovery. Security and faster support should be a top priority for a professional networking platform.

Beautiful branding starts with emotion, detail, and visual storytelling. This design instantly creates a warm, premium, and memorable identity that people connect with emotionally. Great example of how aesthetics can turn a simple product into an experience.

Hold up LinkedIn, you actually pay someone a lot of money to do this? Where do I sign up? I did not know you could get rich just spewing out random common sense logic that everyone knows. Everybody knows that if you are a Computer Science major whose interest is in programming, you apply for development jobs. You don't apply for nursing or firefighter. I am all for you marketing your services, but you failed when you sent her to talk about common sense task that everyone is already doing. Seriously, where do I apply for this gig?

Mass-application is just high-velocity hiding for those who are more afraid of being seen than being rejected.

Exactly build you reputation first, it could be slow but steady then you stand the chance of not just being selected but being at the top of it all. Thanks to the organizers and God bless you. I will not also end until I have made you to also realize that above working hard to build your brand, you need God in your life because where others work hard and still fail, God gives you a lifting into success

You need to do better at penalising companies who have been advertising the exact same role for over 18 months.
