We’ve still got Barcelona on our minds after ADVANCED FACTORIES.🔥 The tech was impressive, but one takeaway stood out above the rest: the gap between IT and OT is still a massive hurdle. On one side, you have IT focused on scalability, cloud architecture, and data integration. On the other, OT is worried about uptime, machine safety, and processes that literally cannot afford to stop. The friction usually comes down to perspective. To an IT team, a production line might look like another system to patch or update. To the OT folks, that same update feels like a threat to a machine that’s been running perfectly for a decade. We’ve reached a point where the technology is ready, but the communication isn't. You can’t pull off Industry 4.0 or predictive maintenance if these two worlds stay in their silos. The companies that actually succeed will be the ones that prioritize culture and people over just hardware. At INSUS, we see it daily- real transformation only happens when the developers and the machine operators finally start speaking the same language. Because digital transformation isn't about plugging in machines, but about getting people on the same page.
