Crossclimb No. 750 is now live: lnkd.in/crossclimb! Which clues took you the longest to crack? Share below👇 (Spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't played, yet!) Crossclimb is inspired by a mini crossword — but with a twist! Answer each clue, then organize the rows into a word ladder, where each word is just one letter different from the one before or after it. That will unlock the final top and bottom rows to complete the ladder. New editions drop daily on LinkedIn — and you can sign up to be alerted in your notification settings. I can't believe I'm the only one more annoyed about this one than I was about yesterday's! FILE / TILE - Mac icons are referred to as tiles, and TILE fits in between PILE & TALE *as well as* in place of FILE. Ugh! Guess I should count myself lucky I only wasted 3 hints trying to figure out the wrong word today...
I put TALL and TALE the wrong way..... really!!??? Maybe same person to set yesterdays question too!
I had an absolute freeze on File. Even looking around my desk with a collection of them... MAXIMISED FIREBALL!
That was careless I got 'TALL' and 'TALE' in the wrong boxes 😊 Took me far too long to figure that out
"How big is the room?" ☄️
... many on a person's desktop? Maybe someone who likes ICONS on their desktop as clutter and LINKS to files that are most likely SHORTCUTS... they most likely have FOLDERS not files.. Though lots of people call everything on a computer a 'file' Terrible
This one was tough. Do people have files on their desks anymore? Bale before pile Fantasy genre. Oh, this will go well. 😱 Crossclimb #750 | 1:47 Fill order: 1️⃣ 3️⃣ 4️⃣ 2️⃣ 5️⃣ ⬆️ ⬇️ 🪜 🏅 I’m on a 434-day win streak! lnkd.in/crossclimb.
Needed a hint for file. I started with icon but realised it didn't fit so went with tile.
One of my worst times ever, over 3 minutes. I was stuck on "pile" on the desktop. In my defense, I'm on holiday for a month, staying with my parents in their 80s in the house I lived in in the 80s. Busyness and computer files are not on the radar.
