Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Wireless Network Engineer to design, deploy, and operate wireless infrastructure across our enterprise and commercial environments. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performance wireless connectivity for office campuses, commercial spaces, service locations, and business-critical environments. This position will be located in Palo Alto, CA and report to our Manager, Workplace & Commercial IT.
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, support, and optimize enterprise and commercial wireless infrastructure, including Wi-Fi 6/6E/7, high-density office deployments, and outdoor wireless where applicable
Lead RF planning, predictive designs, site surveys, heat maps, and spectrum analysis using tools such as Ekahau, Hamina, or equivalent
Configure, support, and troubleshoot wireless controllers, access points, authentication services (802.1X, RADIUS), and wireless security policies
Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for wireless performance, reliability, and availability issues
Implement and apply established enterprise wireless standards across new sites, expansions, and retrofits
Support broader enterprise network infrastructure, including switching, routing, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls, as required to deliver end-to-end solutions
Assist with ISP/Cabling work needed for enterprise and commercial sites
Contribute to network automation, scripting, and monitoring initiatives (e.g., Python, Ansible, APIs)
Partner with Security, Facilities, and Workplace/Commercial teams to ensure network solutions meet business, security, and user experience requirements
Participate in on-call rotation and support for business-critical network services
Document designs, configurations, and operational procedures and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Occasional travel may be required to support deployments or toubleshoots at different sites
Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the team
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of experience in wireless and enterprise network engineering
Strong understanding of Wi-Fi protocols (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax), RF fundamentals, capacity planning, point to multipoint solutions and wireless QoS
Hands-on experience with enterprise wireless platforms such as Cisco and/or Juniper Mist, Aruba
Solid foundation in networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, switching, routing, 802.1X, RADIUS, SNMP, and network segmentation
Proven wireless troubleshooting and analytical skills using tools such as Ekahau, Wireshark, and spectrum analyzers
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced enterprise environment
Preferred Qualifications
Industry certifications such as CWNA, CWSP, CWDP, CCNP Enterprise
Experience supporting wireless in office campuses, commercial spaces, or distributed enterprise environment
Exposure to wireless security, NAC, and identity-based access controls
Experience with network automation tools and scripting (Python, REST APIs, Ansible)
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range for this role is $117,200 - $146,500 for California based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.
The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
