Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Motor Engineer to lead the design and development of electric motors from concept through production. This is a senior-level engineering role requiring deep technical expertise in motor design, hands-on development experience, and strong collaboration with cross-functional engineering and CAD teams.
The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience designing electric motors from scratch and will play a key role in advancing new product development initiatives across multiple industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electric motors from initial concept through production release
Lead motor design efforts including electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical considerations
Collaborate closely with Senior CAD Designers to create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
Drive prototype development, testing, validation, and design optimization
Support product improvements and custom motor solutions for industrial applications
Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, operations, and leadership teams to ensure product performance and scalability
Evaluate materials, components, and manufacturing methods to improve efficiency and reliability
Participate in R&D initiatives tied to automation, advanced manufacturing, and next-generation product development
Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the engineering team
Qualifications
15+ years of experience in electric motor design and development
Proven experience designing electric motors from scratch
Strong expertise with SolidWorks and collaboration within CAD-driven development environments
Deep understanding of motor performance, electromagnetic principles, thermal management, and manufacturability
Experience supporting products in industrial markets such as HVAC, automation systems, food equipment, medical/lab systems, or related industries preferred
Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred
