We are hiring a Director of Engineering to act as a key technical leader within a high-growth, product-led software company operating at the intersection of AI, data, and complex enterprise workflows.

This role will partner closely with the CTO and executive team to drive technical strategy, architecture, execution quality, and cross-functional delivery across multiple product areas. You will play a critical role in scaling both the engineering organization and the platform as the company enters its next phase of growth.

About the Role

This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for shaping how our engineering organization builds, scales, and delivers software used by sophisticated enterprise customers in data-intensive environments.

You will lead through influence and execution—owning architecture decisions, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring technical excellence across distributed systems, data infrastructure, and AI-enabled product workflows.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with the CTO to define and execute technical strategy and long-term architecture direction
• Lead and mentor engineering teams, helping build a high-performance, ownership-driven culture
• Own the design and scaling of complex systems involving data pipelines, APIs, and workflow automation
• Drive execution across multiple engineering pods and ensure timely, high-quality delivery
• Translate ambiguous product requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Go-To-Market teams to align engineering priorities with customer needs
• Oversee build vs buy decisions, vendor relationships, and third-party technical integrations
• Establish engineering best practices around reliability, testing, observability, and performance
• Act as a technical representative in customer and partner conversations when needed

What We’re Looking For

• 8–15+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in engineering leadership roles
• Background in high-growth SaaS, fintech, data platforms, or AI-enabled products
• Strong experience building and scaling distributed systems
• Proven ability to lead teams through ambiguity in fast-moving environments
• Deep understanding of system architecture, APIs, and data-heavy product infrastructure
• Experience working closely with product and commercial teams in a customer-centric environment
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical decision-making when required
• Strong communication skills, especially when explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience in private markets, financial data, or capital markets technology
• Exposure to AI/ML-driven product development or data enrichment systems
• Experience scaling engineering teams from early-stage through growth-stage SaaS
• Prior experience in both startup and larger-scale engineering environments
