After years of fencing, detours, and “Is 16th Street done yet?” we’re giving you a good reason to come to downtown Denver to see the (amazing) changes if you haven’t already. GC AI is hosting a private dinner at Tavernetta on Thursday, May 28 at 6:30 PM, bringing together Denver-area GCs, CLOs, and senior legal leaders for conversation on how AI is changing the way legal teams work. No pitches. Just top legal minds, practical AI discussion, excellent Italian food, and a good excuse to see the 16th Street renovations for yourself. Seats are limited and curated for senior in-house legal leaders. Request an invitation at https://lnkd.in/gQ2fqTXx PS - Our own GC, Laurel Palluzi, will also be speaking at the Rocky Mountain IP & Technology Law Institute on May 29 at 10:00 AM. Let’s connect at the dinner, the event, or both. PPS - Pictured: Denver-area Head of Events and Brand, Jackie Paulus' adorable family on 16th St.

Chicago's legal market is diverse and fascinating. Pasta, as it turns out, is a great equalizer. 🍝 Last Wednesday, we co-hosted a private dinner and pasta-making class with Counselwell for Chicago GCs and AGCs at Tortello Pastificio in Wicker Park, a three-time Michelin Bib Gourmand winner that was featured on "The Bear." At one table, we had someone from a global enterprise software company sitting next to someone from a century-old manufacturing company. They were teaching each other about AI. Lawyers at different AI stages learn more from peers than from any pitch. The most memorable use case of the night came from a guest who uploaded her resume to NotebookLM and turned it into a podcast to build her talk track for a new job search. The room immediately started riffing on applications: promotion prep, oral negotiation practice, interview coaching. One idea, ten directions. And as always, the most convincing voices in the room weren't ours. Happy customers do a better job explaining GC AI than we ever could. Thank you to everyone who joined us. Chicago, we'll be back in July. Keep a lookout for the next invite or reach out if you can't wait.

Excited to announce the In-House Legal Bench, a new comprehensive benchmark designed to evaluate AI performance on in-house legal work. The benchmark evaluated 100 unique in-house legal tasks, with responses graded against attorney-developed answer keys. We evaluated GC AI against three leading AI assistants: ChatGPT (GPT-5.5), Claude (Opus 4.7), and Gemini (3.1 Pro). GC AI outperformed all three across all 10 legal task categories, with the largest advantages in research-intensive work like regulatory tracking, legal research, and checklists. Results: - GC AI: 86.8% - ChatGPT: 79.8% - Claude: 68.4% - Gemini: 57.5% In-house legal deserves a benchmark built around accurate analysis, authoritative sourcing, practical judgment, and work product ready to use. Kudos to our R&D team. Read the full benchmark at the link below. https://lnkd.in/gQZuAmhK #InHouseLegal #LegalAI #GenerativeAI #LegalBenchmark #InHouseCounsel

Last week, Startup Grind brought together 5,000 of the world’s top founders, investors, and leaders. (Everyone building the AI Iron Man suits, funding them, and wearing them to work.) CEO Cecilia Ziniti and Robert Schlossman, CLO of Zscaler, discussed how AI successfully gets adopted in enterprise orgs and what separates the tools that stick. Lawyers have seen enough bad technology to earn their skepticism. Years of vendors who promised transformation and delivered friction will do that. Security is the ticket into the room, but the product still has to deliver. Your in-house team will adopt AI when it delivers out of the gate and does the work that used to go to outside counsel. We were thrilled to be in this room. Thank you to Startup Grind Silicon Valley for having us, to moderator Alexandra Burbey, and to the rest of our investors at Sound Ventures.
