Thrilled to see the work of Georgian-Vlad Saioc on Go routine leak profiling being upstreamed to the Go compiler. Available as experiment from 1.26 which lands in February. Vlad is part of the Programming Systems Group at Uber, working out of our Aarhus office, where he has collaborated closely with Department of Computer Science, Aarhus University and our colleagues in both Amsterdam and San Francisco. I'm reflecting on last week's NCC-DK, Danmarks Nationale Koordinationscenter for Cybersikkerhed event, where I had the opportunity to serve as the keynote speaker. It's not a role I usually accept, but Aida Maksumic, a recommendation from John Cheng, the support from Eurowind Energy and the important mission of NCC-DK persuaded me. My approach was highly operational, as I believe we need to move beyond just discussing threats and uncertainties—there’s already plenty of that, especially in light of the international situation. Instead, we should focus on solutions and share how we can build strong, resilient security. Here are my key takeaways from the day: - Stronger collaboration is needed across the energy sector when it comes to security - Authorities should focus on defining objectives, not prescribing methods. Flexibility fosters innovation and adaptability - All suppliers must be held to the same high standards. The global landscape can shift quickly and so can trust - Security must be embedded in operational processes. Making security operations visible is both the most cost-effective and efficient approach Thank you to everyone who attended. Yesterday, we identified a significant gap in the Finnish RPG scene: we lack a centralized, canonical database for our local games. The insight came from Petri Leinonen, a true wizard when it comes to AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and SEO. He pointed out that while we can push data to global platforms, the future of the internet requires reputable, local "canonical" sources to feed the data ecosystems correctly. His concept is solid gold. It's not just about archiving games; it's about how information will be consumed by agents and engines in the future. So, I decided to prototype his vision immediately, using it as a stress test for my ASDLC (Agentic Systems Development Life Cycle) project. The process: Input: ~15 minutes of my time speccing the requirements. Compute: A full 2-day Claude token quota and ~8 hours of autonomous processing. Output: A working, well-engineered prototype. The Claude Code, empowered by ASDLC MCP, handled the scaffolding perfectly. It turned a high-level strategic concept into usable software with almost no manual coding on my part. It's a double win: a validation of Petri's forward-thinking AEO strategy, and proof that the ASDLC workflow is ready for real work. Now: where to find someone who can explain to me (and to the agents) how library data works 😲

"By working closely with AWS and Scalstrm, we’ve rapidly moved from planning to execution. This kind of project would have taken more than 3 years to deliver for Telenor with traditional on-prem installation, while it has taken less a year to put our cloud-based services into production. We already process more than 20% of our portfolio of commercial channels in Finland, Norway and Sweden on the new platform, combining resilience, cost efficiency, and scalability across our large Nordic footprint.
