- Had a great time earlier this month at the River City Days Parade in Red Wing, where I got a chance to chat with plenty of good folks along the way!
- If you pass a bill that adds $50 billion to rural healthcare but also cuts $137 billion from rural healthcare, you’ve actually reduced rural healthcare funding by $87 billion. That’s simple math, and I pointed that out at Farmfest this week.
- I'm running for Congress to make life more affordable, and that includes lowering utility bills. It's why I was endorsed by the NRDC Action Fund, because I support bringing more clean energy online to help lower our cost of energy right here in southern Minnesota.
- It was great to chat with folks at the @MNFarmersUnion earlier this week! Our farmers are being squeezed by consolidation on both sides: fewer choices and higher costs for seed, fertilizer, and equipment, and fewer buyers and markets for what they produce.
