We did it again. The Trino Gateway team around Manfred Moser is pleased to announced release 19 with lots of dependency updates, the removal of the resource group support, and a few minor changes. Trino Gateway 17 is out! Thanks to our 15 contributors for the new features and fixes. Special shout out to David Phillips for helping with the release process automation. Trino 479 is out. Some of the changes are: - Require Java 25 to build and run Trino. - Publish processing time for a query in the FINISHING state to event listeners. - Deprecate EXPLAIN type LOGICAL and DISTRIBUTED. - Add a extraHeaders option to support sending arbitrary HTTP headers to the JDBC driver and the CLI. - Add APPLICATION_DEFAULT authentication type for GCS. - Remove support for unauthenticated access when GCS authentication type is set to SERVICE_ACCOUNT. - Add support for setting and dropping column defaults via ALTER TABLE ...
