About Earthly Dynamics Corporation:
Earthly Dynamics Corporation (EDC) is a rapidly growing aerospace R&D firm in Roswell, Georgia, pioneering autonomous control technologies for unmanned aircraft and precision airdrop systems. Our multidisciplinary teams tackle challenging problems from sensor integration to flight‑test validation, all in a collaborative, hands‑on environment.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an Aerospace Engineer to support the development of advanced autonomous flight platforms and related aerospace technologies. This position is ideal for an engineer with a strong background in flight dynamics, aerodynamics, simulation, and control system design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop flight dynamic models for flight platforms systems.
- Create aerodynamic models from first principles, empirical data, wind tunnel data, CFD results, and flight test data.
- Develop simulation tools for system design, performance prediction, guidance and control evaluation, and mission analysis.
- Design, analyze, and tune flight control systems for autonomous and semi-autonomous aerospace platforms.
- Support guidance, navigation, and control algorithm development.
- Analyze flight test data to identify system performance, validate models, and improve control system behavior.
- Support flight test planning, execution, troubleshooting, and post-test analysis.
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and flight test personnel to transition designs from analysis to functioning hardware.
- Prepare technical reports, briefings, test plans, and documentation for internal use and government customers.
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field required (M.S. or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or related discipline preferred).
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to develop practical engineering models and use them to guide real hardware development. Ability to work independently and as part of a small multidisciplinary team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel periodically for flight test events.
Citizenship: Due to ITAR regulations and sponsor requirements, applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders.
