Josef Masopust is Notable.

Josef Masopust was a Czech football player and coach who is regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time. He was named European Footballer of the Year in 1962, and in 2003, to celebrate UEFA's Jubilee, he was selected by the Football Association of the Czech Republic as his country's Golden Player - their most outstanding player of the past 50 years.

He was born on 9 February 1931 in Střimice. His home village was destroyed in the 1950s due to coal mining. He was born into a mining family (his father was a coal miner), the eldest of six children.

I tried to find information about his ancestors, but I could only find their names - Josef Masopust and his wife Marie (see this thesis). Birth records are not publicly available. The 1921 census (i.e. 10 years before his birth) of his home village Střimice is available, but I could not find any Masopust family there.
