Biography

David Grohl was featured in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, 2014 & 2021.

Dave Grohl is an American musician, singer, songwriter, author, and documentary filmmaker.

Dave was the drummer for rock band Nirvana and founded the alternative rock band Foo Fighters, for whom he is the singer, guitarist, and primary songwriter. Dave is also the drummer and co-founder of the rock supergroup Them Crooked Vultures, and wrote the music for his short-lived side projects Late! and Probot.

David Eric Grohl was born January 14, 1969 in Warren, Ohio. Dave is the son of a teacher, Virginia Jean (née Hanlon), and a newswriter, James Harper Grohl.^[1][2][3]

On May 27, 1994, Dave married his first wife at Crosse Pointe Yacht Club in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.^[4] After their separation in 1996, they were divorced in 1997.^[5]

On August 2, 2003, Dave married his second wife in Los Angeles, California.^[6][7]
