About Ye

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is an american rapper, producer, songwriter, and fashion designer and one of the most influential stars of the 21st century. Born on June 8, 1977, in Chicago, Illinois, he has continuously reinvented himself and his art, both musically.

His rise to fame started after his terrific car accident, that prompted him in releasing the hit single Trough The Wire, after signing a deal with Roc A Fella he released the college trilogy comprised of The College Dropout, Late Registration, and Graduation, each earning critical acclaim and commercial success. He followed up with 808s & Heartbreak in 2008, a deeply emotional and sonically innovative project that popularized autotune and influenced an entire generation of artists. After a controversial incident at the Vmas of 2009, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010) was released, often hailed as one of the greatest albums of all time, while Yeezus (2013) pushed the boundaries of hip-hop with its industrial sound. The Life of Pablo (2016) blurred the lines between gospel and rap, and Ye (2018) described his mental health struggles and how he handles his relationships after being diagnosed with Bipolar Syndrome. After his conversion he fully embraced gospel sound and released two of the most succesful christian albums of all time, respectively Jesus Is King (2019) and Donda (2021).

Beyond his solo work, Ye has collaborated on several influential projects, including Watch the Throne (2011) with Jay-Z, Kids See Ghosts (2018) with Kid Cudi, and Vultures 1 & Vultures 2 (2024) with Ty Dolla $ign. His upcoming album, Bully, is expected to drop in 2025 and is rumored to be a concept album entirely produced by Ye himself, and it's about to be presented at his latest listening party in Korea.
