3. Cookies, Pixel Tags, Web Beacons and Aggregate Information
3.1 Cookies and Similar Technologies
ITT may employ technologies like a cookie, which is a small piece of computer code that enables web servers to “identify” visitors, each time an individual initiates a session on the Company’s Site(s). For example, a cookie may be set in order to identify Data Subjects and tailor our Site(s) to you. We may also use “pixel tags”, also known as “web beacons”, which are small graphic files that allow us to monitor the use of our Site(s). A pixel tag can collect information such as the Internet Protocol (“IP”) address of the computer that downloaded the page on which the tag appears; the URL of the page on which the pixel tag appears; the time the page containing the pixel tag was viewed; the type of browser that fetched the pixel tag; and the identification number of any cookie on the computer previously placed by that server. When corresponding with you via HTML capable email, we may use "format sensing" technology, which allows pixel tags to let us know whether you received and opened our email. In the default setting, only essential cookies will be enabled in jurisdictions where express consent to the placement of cookies is required. Cookies will be on by default for U.S. residents, who may be able to opt out where that right is provided for by law.
For more information regarding the cookies we use, and your choices regarding the same, see our Cookie Policy.
3.2 Anonymized and Aggregated Information
ITT may use Personal Information and other information about you to create anonymized aggregate information, such as de-identified demographic information, de-identified location information, information about the computer or device from which you access ITT’s Site(s) or services, or other analyses we create. Aggregated information may be used for a variety of functions, including the measurement of visitors’ interest in and use of various portions or features of the Site(s). Anonymized aggregate information is not Personal Information, and ITT may use such information in a number of ways, including internal analysis, analytics and research and any other legally permissible purposes. We may share this information with third parties for our or their purposes in an anonymized or aggregated form that is designed to prevent anyone from identifying you.
3.3 Analytics
We may also use web analysis tools, such as Google Analytics, to collect information regarding visitor behavior and visitor demographics on some of our Site(s), and to develop website content. For more information about Google Analytics, please visit www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/. You can opt out of Google’s collection and Processing of data generated by your use of the Services by going to http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Even if you opt-out, we may still collect and use non-Personal Information regarding your activities on our Sites and/or information from the advertisements on Third-Party websites for non-interest based advertising purposes, such as to determine the effectiveness of the advertisements.
Prior to disclosing Sensitive Data to a Third Party or Processing Sensitive Data for a purpose other than its original purpose or the purpose authorized subsequently by the Data Subject, ITT will endeavor to obtain each Data Subject’s explicit consent (opt-in). Where consent of the Data Subject for the Processing of Personal Information is otherwise required by law or contract, ITT will comply with the law or contract.
4.2. Email and Telephone Communications
Our Site(s) offer visitors the possibility of subscribing to communications from our newsroom. When registering for these communications, data such as your email address will be transmitted to us via the data entry form. In jurisdictions where express consent is legally required, marketing communications will only be sent if the data subject has provided their express consent. Please note that our marketing-relating communications may contain tracking technologies, such as pixels, so that we can tailor the content of our marketing communications more closely to the personalized needs of our recipients, understand which emails were opened, and know which links contained in the email were followed.
An "Unsubscribe" button will be provided at the top or bottom of each email communications sent by ITT so that you can opt-out. However, we will continue to send transaction-related emails regarding products or services you have requested. We may also send you certain non-promotional communications regarding ITT and our products and services and you will not be able to opt out of those communications (e.g., communications regarding updates to our Terms or this Privacy Policy).
We maintain telephone “do not call” lists and “do not mail” lists as mandated by law. We process requests to be placed on "do not mail", "do not phone" and "do not contact" lists within 60 days after receipt, or such shorter time as may be required by law.
4.3 “Do Not Track”
Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in certain web browsers. DNT is a way for users to inform websites and services that they do not want certain information about their webpage visits collected over time and across websites or online services. ITT does not recognize or respond to browser-initiated DNT signals.

Payment information will be used and shared only to effectuate your order and may be stored by a service provider for purposes of future orders. ITT requires our service providers to agree in writing to maintain confidentiality and security of Personal Information they maintain on our behalf and not to use it for any purpose other than the purpose for which ITT retained them.
We may disclose Personal Information about you to other third parties or to public and government authorities: (i) if we are required to do so by law, court order or legal process; (ii) in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements; (iii) under the discovery process in litigation; (iv) to enforce ITT policies or contracts; (v) to collect amounts owed to ITT; (vi) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss or in connection with an investigation or prosecution of suspected or actual illegal activity; or (vii) if in good faith we believe that disclosure is otherwise necessary or advisable. In addition, from time to time, server logs may be reviewed for security purposes – e.g., to detect unauthorized activity on the Site(s). In such cases, server log data containing Personal Information such as IP addresses may be reviewed and shared with law enforcement bodies in order that they may identify users in connection with their investigation of the unauthorized activities.
We reserve the right to disclose or transfer any information we have about you in the event of a proposed or actual purchase, any reorganization, sale, lease, merger, joint venture, assignment, amalgamation or any other type of acquisition, disposal or financing of all or any portion of our business or of any of the business assets or shares (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceeding).
5.2 Data Transfers
All Personal Information sent to or collected by ITT may be Processed and stored anywhere in the world, including but not limited to, in the United States, on the cloud, our servers, the servers of our affiliates or the servers of our service providers. By providing information to ITT, you agree to the storage of your Personal Information in these locations.
