Welcome to the City of Erlangen!

Service in the town hall and digitally

We are there for you - on site and digitally. You do not need an appointment for the citizen service on the first floor of the town hall(applying for ID cards, re-registration, driving license matters, certificates of good conduct, vehicle registration, resident parking permits and parking permits for the severely disabled). You can book an appointment for individual services at the Citizens' Service.

Current waiting time for citizen services

You can also visit the welcome desk of the Foreigners' Registration Office on the 2nd floor without an appointment. Otherwise, you must always make an appointment before visiting the town hall. However, many matters can also be dealt with by telephone or online. On-site services, online services and restrictions on our services can be found in our service portal.

When you visit us: Access to the town hall is only possible via the main entrance on Rathausplatz. Only municipal employees and delivery services have access to the town hall from the east side ("Rathaushintereingang"). Dogs are generally not permitted. Exceptions are only possible if a dog is required for health and educational reasons (e.g. assistance or school dogs) or if the dog owner has been requested by the city to present their dog at the office.
