This is an excellent album by Queen returning to their hard rock roots on some of the songs. Brian especially shines on guitar and Freddie is in fine voice. The production is top notch and my South African pressing sounds really great, with a nice soundstage and separation of the instruments and vocals. Any rock fan should own this album!

This album hits hard. Freddy was struggling with his frail health yet he kept pushing it. The man is an absolute legend. The half speed master abbey Road is phenomenal, as always. For me, if it is remastered at half speed at AbbeyRoad it's just an instant buy and again it did not disappoint

I came across the 2022 edition from EMI with different matrix numbers: on the first plate 00602567344292 Miles Abbey Road Room 30, on the second 00602567344285 Miles Abbey Road Room 30. I didn't see this here in Discogs. Does anyone have a similar one, what kind of publication is this?

It's incredible, amazing sound, they really made it better than the original version

Been listening to this album since it came out. Finally got the original UK pressing. I was expecting it to be great but this is like I've never heard it before. Absolutely stunning.

En Argentina lo publicó el diario La Nacion. Que master usaron para prensar estos vinilos? suenan muy mal

This is a mispress. "Don't Try So Hard" is listed on the A-side label, even though it is the fourth song on the B-side.
But the LP sounds very good.

BUYERS BEWARE!! Counterfeit versions of this release EXIST— they can be identified by yellowish labels, no embossing on the back, having no inner sleeve (or an incorrect one), AND BY NOT HAVING THE “Track edited” note and it’s markings (*). Keep a look out!

Finally, Queen gets some balls back into the music! It seemed like after News of the World, it was a slow and painful castration. Each album, in my opinion, seemed to stray further and further from the real heaviness of stuff like Father to Son, Stone Cold Crazy, The Prophet’s Song and White Man. 70s Queen was perhaps the best band to mix songs light enough to bring one to tears, but also songs heavy and mean enough to put hairs on your chest. Especially stuff like The Works and The Miracle seemed to me a lot more keyboard driven and less of a guitar driven affair, and even when there were riffs, they were flaccid and lifeless. Here, it’s all coming back for one final hoorah. Right from the beginning drumroll, the guitars are loud, thick and HEAVY. Innuendo is the best Kashmir rip-off since the Zeppelin song itself, with great lyrics and a real driving beat that makes it seem a more than worthy contender to its throne. The Hitman is another absolutely crushing track, with one of their best grooves in a long, long time. That’s not to say the ballads are gone, however, because songs like These Are the Days of our Lives and I Can’t Live with You are up there with classic Queen, the former especially. Overall; this album is absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The band is Tight (yes, with a capital T), Freddie sounds his utter best, even with his ailments, and the music itself really feels like heart was put into it. It’s their best album since NOTW.

P.S.: Does it need to be said? The Show Must Go On is one of their greatest album closers ever.
