My Bio

Who am I ?

I am a french independent artist, born in Peru in the 1990’s and  raised in France. I have always been passionate about art, especially  drawing and painting. I started drawing very young, then I did digital  painting for years an participated to many art conventions.

Since 2017 I’m working with traditional mediums, Indian inks and  watercolors. I really enjoy this new way of creating unique images and I  sell them online all over the world. My main sources of inspiration are  asia, zen ambients, yoga and technology. I am mostly involved into  surrealist and figurative drawings but sometimes I go through abstract  art.

Behind my artist activity online, I am a scientist and I work in a  data analysis domain.  I always loved science, and I’m convinced that  art and science are deeply connected. One of my life goals is to show to  everyone how science is present during life.

If you have any question about me or my art, feel free to chat with me  using Deviantart notes ! I'll be glad to answer to you :-)

Hi folks, For the past few years, I’ve been creating hundreds of dream-inspired illustrations, images that come from the world of symbols, emotions, and imagination. Now I’ve turned that work into something new: an oracle card deck called Deep Dreams, and it’s just launched on Kickstarter. Here’s a preview shot featuring the tin box and a selection of the 58 cards. I’m also sharing two sample cards with you, hope you’ll agree, they turned out quite beautifully! Here’s the link if you’d like to check it out: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/artanzo/deep-dreams-oracle Thanks so much for your support, whether it’s backing the project, sharing it, or simply joining the discussion. Wishing you a beautiful day, Artanzo

Hey Deviants, I wanted to share a fun story with you today! Recently, I posted my drawing, History, on a Chinese social network, and something interesting happened… The next day, I checked the app and was surprised to find over 200 comments. What was going on? It turned out that someone suggested renaming the piece Herstory, a clever play on words (wish I’d thought of it myself!). But not everyone caught the pun. Instead, a debate sparked over why I had chosen History instead of Herstory, with discussions around feminism quickly heating up. In the end, the artwork gained over 5,000 likes simply because it became the center of such a passionate conversation. It left me with mixed feelings. I’ve always known that controversy fuels engagement on social media, even though this wasn’t intentional, but it made me wonder: did people enjoy my art, or were they just drawn to the argument? It definitely gave me something to think about… Wishing you all a great week, Artanzo

Hi Journal, Today, I want to talk about drawing mediums, both digital and traditional. I often see people framing these two approaches as opposites, but in my view, they’re simply different. Let’s rewind to the year 2000. At the time, my parents gifted me a Wacom Intuos tablet for PC, and to me, it felt like magic. I went from rough sketches on low-quality paper to digital drawings that, at least in my eyes, looked significantly better. I quickly convinced myself that I was meant for digital art and that traditional techniques were outdated and inefficient. It took me many years to realize how wrong I was. If I had invested more time in improving my traditional drawing skills, I could have saved myself a lot of time in my professional journey. As a self-taught artist, I made countless mistakes in my designs, but every now and then, by chance (or was it luck?), I managed to create something truly worthwhile. One of those pieces even earned me a Daily Deviation! Here’s one of them:
