Excited to share some science behind the art of #communications with #ai! Over the past several months, we've been experimenting with Copilot for Microsoft 365 in all aspects of our jobs. Feeling the impact in our day-to-day but wanting to quantify it, we surveyed 80 people from our communications and marketing organization and found: 86% say Copilot makes them more productive. 89% say Copilot helps jumpstart the creative process. 70% say Copilot reduces time spent on tasks they don’t enjoy. And the most exciting one for me is that 83% say they don’t want to go back to working without Copilot. Same😊 If you're interested in considering how to use ai to improve your workday, read this blog for five very specific ways the team and I are using it to be more productive, creative, and to make the work we do a little more fun.

I am excited to share that this year, our team at @Microsoft contributed to the annual USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism Center for Public Relations Relevancy Report focused on #ai in #communications. The report outlines actionable recommendations for communicators, emphasizing collaborative learning, a multidisciplinary approach, and a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion. And how does one start this process? 1) Experiment and pioneer: Be courageous. Play with the tools. Be a pioneer. 2) Operate with a sense of urgency: Own your destiny. Reinvent ahead of demand. 3) Drive culture change: Champion this next phase of communications with ai. As ai becomes ubiquitous, our roles become increasingly crucial. I encourage every storyteller to read the report to understand this technology's massive impact on the art and science of communications. There are some great essays to read, with contributions from Melissa Waggener Zorkin, Kirk Stewart, Teresa Hutson, Bill Imada, Dominic Carr, Steve Clayton, Matthew Harrington, Torod B. Neptune and many others!
