We nurture local artists, preserve our original music legacy, and build a shared community of music makers & music lovers.
MFT is a 501c3 community organization for artists & audiences in the state of Indiana.
MFT has been serving artists and audiences in the state of Indiana for over 15 years. We maintain an archive of music created by local artists featuring hundreds of artists and thousands of songs. We create new music through programs like EP in a Weekend and Indiana Covers. We offer curation opportunities through a weekly radio show, social media takeovers, promotional opportunities and more. We serve as a convener for important community conversations, and educational opportunities for artists to help them hone their craft and be more successful. We serve as a resource connecter for the music community to the civic infrastructure.
Musical Family Tree is a 501c3 non-profit. We survive primarily off of our sponsorship and your generosity. As an all volunteer organization, almost all of the money going in to MFT goes directly to artists through our programming. We are always accepting donations and looking for sponsorship and partners for our programming and events. As an all-volunteer organization we are always looking for people who are passionate about Indy’s music culture who want to help out.
