New Moon in Taurus, April 22, 2020
Helpful insights concerning the April 22 New Moon @3Taurus, the Exaltation of the Moon degree! And a fortunate degree according to Nicholas DeVore:
Life is about to get very real under the potent New Moon at 03° 24′ Taurus on 22 April 2020, 0727 PM PDT. Uranus in Taurus conjoins the Sun and Moon with Saturn in Aquarius squaring them. Changes we’ve experienced in our lives since Uranus entered Taurus about a year ago are about to become far more permanent. Keep in mind this is not necessarily bad either, despite the tendency many of us have to leap to the worst possible conclusions. Once the dust settles, we might find ourselves in a situation we find much more compatible with our most authentic self.
Fixed earth (Taurus) dominates this New Moon chart which just about guarantees the focus will be in the real world. We are looking for tangible results, not more endless speculation and theorizing. We need to know exactly what we can do to improve our lot even if that…

Thomas Coffey ~ They Called Him “HellFIRE” ~ #52Ancestors ~ Week 15
This guy sounds — lovely ;)!!
Thomas Coffey my 2nd cousin 2x removed, was born in Grainger County, Tennessee on December 7, 1852. He married Martha Jane Shockley in 1872. They bought some land in the county and began to farm and raise their 13 children. Life was not easy for the Coffey’s, not because they were farmers, or because they had so many children or the fact that they didn’t have much money. Life was hard because Thomas was a difficult man. There was a saying in Grainger county about the Coffey family: it was said, the reason so many Coffey’s intermarried was that only a Coffey could tolerate a Coffey. I have found the intermarriage part to be very true.

It didn’t help that Thomas has redheaded and a lot of people just assumed he had a bad temper because of that. However, in this case, they were correct! He was always ready…

Full Moon in Libra, April 7, 2020
Lovely Libra!
Balance is restored on this Full Moon at 18° 44′ Libra on 7 April 2020, 07:35 PM PDT. The elements are evenly divided between fire/air and earth/water, quite appropriate for a Libra Full Moon. We still need to be careful though because the closest aspects to the luminaries involve Neptune in Pisces. Neptune is semi-sextile the Aries Sun and inconjunct the Libra Moon, creating a subtle sense of cognitive dissonance. Be careful about making assumptions!
A more upbeat aspect is the close trine between Aries and Libra’s ruling planets. Venus in Gemini is trine Mars in Aquarius, with Saturn in Aquarius anchoring both planets. This is great for taking a look at our one-on-one relationships or partnerships, both business and personal. We gain enough perspective to see where improvements can be made without damaging the relationship.
Mars in Aquarius has another little problem . . . he is closely square…

New Moon in Aries, March 24, 2020
Planting seeds on an Aries New Moon!
The three planets in fire and air stand firmly together on the New Moon at 04° 12′ Aries on 24 March 2020, 02:29 AM PDT. The Aries Sun and Moon are sextile Saturn in Aquarius, giving us a taste of how Saturn will be working in Aquarius. In this instance, Saturn gently holds the Aries Sun and Moon in check without stomping on Aries independence and initiative. This is a wonderful influence for figuring out how to move forward and maintain our sense of independence whilst working within external limitations.
Best not to overlook Uranus in Taurus sitting semi-sextile to the Aries luminaries! It can exacerbate the Aries need to take impulsive actions, just when that’s the last thing we need to do. Please consider taking time to think things over before making a move.
F.Y.I. Saturn in Aquarius is widely square Uranus in Taurus though this won’t be exact…

Lessons in Acute Attention
A great video on drawing, my favorite!

Ecuador – About a week ago I drove to Guayaquil for what turned out to be a five-minute meeting and then returned with an extra passenger – the lady who worked at the check-point/security desk at the meeting!
After hearing me state, “Yo soy Manaba!” to a couple who stated they were from the same area, she casually stated that she was going to Santa Ana for the weekend.
“Today? Hoy?” I asked.
“Yes,” she smiled. It was a Friday afternoon, and I wondered if she commuted that long distance to work.
“Do you live in Santa Ana?”
“No, I live in Guayaquil, but I’ll be visiting family.”
“Are you going by bus?”
“Yes.”
Yes. Remember: First time visit – Go by bus!
A bus trip would surely represent six or more hours of travel for her, vs. three with me, especially if we took the route less traveled.
“Ride…

Saturday’s Dilemma ~ Sometimes All You Need Is A Little Advice
The Pilgrims are coming! Well, sort of. Actually they’re already among and within us!
With the upcoming 400-year anniversary of the Mayflower arriving in Plymouth, Massachusetts I thought it would be a good idea to start writing blogs about my Pilgrim ancestors. I want to publish them as a series later in the year and I am striving for absolute accuracy, if possible. I am excited about this endeavor.
Here is my dilemma, one of my female ancestors has some controversy over her correct maiden name. To be honest, I have had both of her “proven” names listed on my tree at different times. I have done my own research and I have found credible evidence for both names. I have scoured through all of the Mayflower websites that I can find, as well as numerous books and publications. These have also been divided on her name.

Because of my uncertainty of the correct one, I have been verbally attacked and harassed about the…

Full Moon in Virgo, March 9, 2020
Virgo in the lunar spotlight!
With all but one planet in earth and water, the Full Moon at 19° 37′ Virgo on 9 March 2020, 10:48 AM PDT, radiates a certain of complacency due to the high level of agreement amongst the planets. The exception is Mercury in Aquarius which is in the process of stationing direct a few hours after the Full Moon. For the most part, the tone is one of calm certainty, encouraging us to go about our business with quiet dispatch.
It is worth noting Mercury in Aquarius only makes one aspect – a tight semi-sextile to Saturn in Capricorn. This Mercury-Saturn aspect is more potent than usual due to Mercury sitting at its station degree. Between Mercury being in fixed Aquarius and under Saturn’s influence, our thinking may be more methodical than usual, a positive note because we need time to recover from the confusion generated by retrograde Mercury in…
