What this guy doesn’t understand is that he is part of the very “principalities and powers” he claims to be struggling against.

None of us are acting perfectly during this crisis - including me -but social distancing isn't an excuse for social apathy. If you are able to safely contribute - no matter how small you think that contriution may be - do it.

I get the need to stay home but, if you were able to help in some way but didn't - if you thought binging on Netflix and ordering Uber Eats and letting someone buy your groceries while you were perfectly able to do so is sensible, you need to pull your head out of you ass.

Or has social distancing really just become an outward expression of a reality many of us have been living in for a long, long time? Digitally disconnected, always staring into our smartphones and unable to talk to people we don't know or who are outside our "bubble?"

So, when the dust from COVID-19 settles, how will you be remembered? If you were able, did you try and help the vulnerable in your midst? Go to the store for a senior? Donate to a food pantry?

Best comment I've read about the COVID-19 crisis so far. "Any young and healthy person that is fine underpaying an Instacart shopper so that they don't ever have to leave their house needs to reevaluate their life decisions."

So who are you going to be? A Maker or a Taker?

If you're a Taker, you're fixated only on yourself, your survival — and what the pandemic will mean for your bottom line. Well said -

If you're a Maker, you're someone who has found a way to contribute to the community in various ways, from the student who set up a volunteer network to shop for the elderly to first responders and workers like caregivers who take daily personal risks to save others.
