Three favorite holiday recipes
1. A new fav – I got my friend Vicky’s grandmother’s secret meatball recipe. I think it will be a Christmas Eve classic for years to come. It’s very yummy.
2. English Toffee. It was my Grandmother’s legacy. Sadly, I never had the patience to learn the secret of the weather and the boiling point of the sugar. My Aunt Jeanne makes it now. We have agreed to let my friend Vicky give it a try, but it might never be dry enough here in Virginia.
3. It’s not exactly a recipe, but I do Christmas brunch instead of Christmas dinner – cinnamon rolls, bagels and cream cheese, finger sandwiches, deviled eggs, orange juice, specialty coffee, blueberry muffins, fruit, cheese, and grilled italian sausages. Sometimes a ham, sometimes a cake. This is my holiday food tradition.
