Dale Brown of Detroit-based Threat Management Center is On-Point

In February of 2012 I posted a write-up to CopBlock.org titled, “Frustrated, Detroit Residents Compete with Police.” Included on the story was a picture of Dale Brown, founder of the Threat Management Center.

A year later, when I knew I was to roll through Detroit as part of the Cop Block Tour, I reached-out to Brown, who graciously welcomed me at his facility.

It was definitely well worth the time.

Of course dumbfuck activists are quick to blame the police when they are always standing up for drug addicts, drug dealers, prostitution, etc… Maybe if you got rid of these dumb fuck activists there would be less crime.

    It’s a good feeling to see ACTIVISTS stand up and try to make a difference. When those who wear badges are so inept, biased and power drunk that they prey on citizens, it’s clear that the future and best hopes of this country, do NOT lie with the police officers, but the PEOPLE.
    We need to take this country back, and if the police are in the way, we need to confront them and hold them accountable for their crimes.

    Also, Dale is open, honest, and you can see he operates on good faith. Compared to involuntary institutions that force themselves on their “customers”(victims), he has a legitimate, good-faith business model.
    This is how a legit business operates, by providing value, not by violently forcing its “services” through coercion and threats. If police “services”
    were so valuable, why do people have to be forced to pay for them? If they were truly valuable to the market, wouldn’t people pay them voluntarily?
    If cops were operating on good faith, why don’t they want to ID themselves or answer questions on camera, and why are they so scared of having their actions on video?
    Is that how someone acting on good faith conducts themselves?

    Wow. I waited to see what comments would show up. It frightens me how you guys can’t even get what this guys is telling you.

    He runs a security company. Even sounds like a good one. OK. But did you even catch any of how he does it? Several thousand people working to protect a few thousand homes. A ratio of like 1 – 6.5 homes / businesses. Heavily armed guys protecting only the rights of those who pay them in what sounds like the nicer parts of a pretty crappy city.. And many of those are “evil corporations”. OWS supporters should be appalled.

    And did you catch what they do when there is a problem? Oh, that’s right. When that occurs…they call in the real police to handle it.

    This sounds like a great company with some good goals. But hardly an example of a replacement for the police. Just the opposite. These “private armies” care only for the haveswho can pay for them.

    Detroit is a great (maybe the best) example of everything going wrong. Ccorporate greed going hand in hand with individual greed. Civic projects overextended on the promises of tomorrow that didn’t come. The first “burps” in the system and all the hands went out lookingfor government help and there was nno one left to pay the bills. Not the only example, but a very clear example.

    Maybe @Shawn will show up and weigh in on private security (that’s his thing, not mine). Its a great tool for those who can afford it…but it stomps on everyone else.

    They’re providing kind of similar services as what the cops ostensibly provide, basically preventing street crime, keeping the peace. No one thinks it’s gonna solve crime by itself, but it is evidence contrary to idea that the modern police business model is the only way to provide that kind of service wherein the police are an invading army in their own “work environment”, and people are forced to pay them involuntarily. That involuntary/violent business model is largely what creates the perverse incentives inherent to the modern police department business model that encourage the police gangsterism/ extortionate business parctices.

Heck guy, one of the places they “protect” is a golf course community. Nothin wrong with that, but it is what it is. Again, he even tells you that they call the police when something happens.     If you show up every day and go to work and trade your time for money, that’s called a business. If you’re profiting off of it you are in business.
    Your police department probably even has a taxpayer ID#, so what is it then,if not a business, a charity? Your whole department probably exists under some articles of incorporation pertaining to a municipal corporation that is some sort of corporate business contract, basically. If money is exchanging hands as part of a business transaction on some level, it is a business.

    I tell you, Dale Brown won me over when he stated that Threat Management Center actively screens military veterans, weeds out the knuckleheads, and keeps the heroes. It would appear that most police departments today do the exact opposite. A quick review of the comments of common sense, t., and slappy show proves my point in that regard.

    Threat Management Center is the best answer I have seen to counter the institutionalized corruption infecting all aspects of American law enforcement. Looks like an idea whose time has come. And there is a good bet that Threat Management Center can get the job done at a fracton of the cost of the system we have now, and with far fewer children being raped in the process.

    Wichita KS police officer Officer Joseph T. McGill, 28, was convicted today of committing a sexual act on a 3-month-old child and a 1-year-old child. Officer McGill pleaded guilty in January 2012 in an unrelated case to sexual battery while on duty as a police officer and was sentenced to three years probation. Those charges stemmed from separate incidents in November 2010 and February 2011. The judge set sentencing for March 1.

    Wichita police officer Gregory P. Nicks on Friday received consecutive life prison sentences for sexually abusing a 15-month-old girl. The 32-year-old worked for the Wichita Police Department for just over three years beginning in 2006. Prosecutor Justin Edwards introduced three written statements at the hearing, including one from the victim’s mother. She said Nicks had used her daughters — the 15-month-old and a 4-month-old — as sex objects to fulfill his sexual fantasies.

    I know you have the superstitious belief that having a badge magically confers extra rights on you but, guess what? You have the same rights as anyone else. Gang membership doesn’t give you extra rights. Maybe they aren’t making arrests, but I would think their presence would be a deterrent.

    I want to apologize for my immature comments, and for equating the victim-less activities of prostitution and drug-use with real crimes like murder and robbery, things that my cop-friends do on a daily basis -usually to hookers and drug-users.

    I will re-think my life, and confront my cop-friends with my new-found ethical values. I hope they will see the error of their ways and strive to actually protect peoples’ rights, liberty, and property, while holding all those accountable who wish to infringe on them.

    Thank you, activists and faggots, keep doing what you do best, and hopefully more people will see the light of day!
